We perceive our world through our senses. These sensory cells are sending signals to our brain every moment, at a mind-boggling rate, for internal processing. Thourgh a complex mechanism of our brain’s interpretation we perceive our external world.
When these perceived ‘realities’ are inconsistent with the physical realities, we call them illusions. Some of these illusions have plausible explanations and many others are yet to be meaningfully understood.
The main causes of these illusions can be classified under three main categories
